Nosy Iranja Lodge

Better known as Madagascar’s premier resort island or the ‘Perfumed Isle’ due to its abundance of heady Ylang Ylang blossom scent, Nosy Bé is home to the luxurious Nosy Iranja Lodge. Indulge in its superb cuisine with delicate tropical flavours or watch the sun set whilst sipping an exotic cocktail after a leisure-filled day spent scuba-diving, snorkelling, water-skiing, sailing, fishing or simply lying in the sun! 28 Junior and Senior chalets, all with ceiling fans, safes, minibars, CD players, en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and dressing-room, private terrace with private garden, ocean view, hammock, deck chairs, armchairs, coffee table and foot showers. Hotel facilities include: restaurant; private outdoor entertainment area available for private functions; bar; business Centre with internet facilities’, TV and a library; gym; traditional massages with traditional Madagascan oils; souvenir and local handicraft shop; baby-sitting; scuba diving; sea turtle egg-laying and hatching tours; variety of water sports; trekking (with or without guide); deep sea fishing.

Vakona Forest Lodge

Situated a three-hour drive east of the capital, Tana, Vakona lodge lies in a private reserve just 7km from the spectacular Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. This table-top rainforest supports a great diversity of flora and fauna including many different species of lemur. The lodge has 24 comfortable en suite rooms and family bungalows built in traditional Malagasay style, each with a terrace providing views of the forest. The lodge has a swimming pool and activities include hiking on forest trails, canoeing and horse-back excursions. Le Jardin du Roy

Lying to the south-west of the island is the Isalo National Park, a remarkable landscape of sandstone rock with canyons, waterfalls, pools and rare vegetation home to a variety of wildlife. Le Jardin du Roy currently has 15 spacious en suite rooms, each with private veranda providing views over the picturesque surrounding landscape.
