"Our holiday was absolutely fantastic. The accommodation, food and staff at Tuningi Lodge together with the game sightings were unbelievable - we saw all the Big 5 including both white and black rhino ... We really enjoyed Mozambique, Flamingo Bay was a really nice location and the diving was excellent - the staff at both Flamingo and the dive centre certainly looked after us ... Your idea of finishing the holiday off in Victoria Falls was also really good and Sussi Lodge and the staff were fantastic. We perhaps could have done with another day there to fit in a couple of other activities but there again, I'm not sure which part of the holiday I'd have given up - we maybe should have gone for 4 weeks! ... Once again thanks very much for organising such a brilliant honeymoon for us - we will certainly remember it for a long time - aided by the 1700 photos we took of course!" - Dave & Izzy Rogers, October 2007

About UsSafari Diver was set up by divers, for divers... diving off the east coast of southern Africa is both challenging and fascinating with the chance to see a diverse range of thriving marine life. The variety of on-land attractions compliments the underwater activities. We are passionate about this area and we specialise in it as we can offer you the best advice and service based on our personal experience. We are unashamedly a family-run company and we have a personal perspective when taking your booking: going on holiday on your own - we've done it (separately!); going on a group holiday with a dive club or friends (all diving and mixed groups) - we've done it; going on your honeymoon - we've done it; going with family - yes, we've done it too and are still learning all about it as you can see from the photo...! Why choose Safari Diver? We dive the sites and stay in the lodges we promote so we can talk about them with confidence - this is borne up by the pictures scattered throughout our website and brochure, they might not be award-winning but they're taken by us (unless specifically noted), not taken from a stock image website. We only use a small selection of lodges and dive operators so that we can guarantee a high standard of service: in particular, the dive operators must comply with stringent safety standards and promote reef and marine conservation. Furthermore we book our holidays direct with the operators, unlike other tour operators who use third parties to arrange their packages which they simply re-sell - which means an added layer of expense and communication. We discuss your wishes and design the holiday to suit your needs; essentially you are paying for our expertise, not just a booking service. We don't have a pick-n-mix approach - we believe it is essential to find out what you want to do and see, and what your dive experience is, in order for you to get the most out of your holiday. We may not always be the cheapest option (if you are comparing prices with other companies, do be wary of companies offering to match prices and always read the details to find out exactly what you are getting and remember, service is not always included!) but we pride ourselves on giving great service which is why our customers come back to us (that, and the fact that there is so much to do and see, one holiday is not enough!). Could I get a better price by booking direct over the Internet? The rates we charge you are the same rates you would pay if you went direct but rather than spending a lot of time surfing the web for information, we can offer help and guidance in putting your holiday together. In some cases our relationships with our partners may allow us to book at a discount which we can pass on to you. With tailor-made trips, we are pulling together a variety of threads to make up the whole, be it accommodation, diving and other activities, safaris, road transfers, hire cars, day tours, flights - we make the most of your holiday because time is so precious. Am I protected? By booking through a UK-based company you are covered by UK consumer protection laws: ATOL Protection - we hold an 'Air Travel Organisers Licence', issued by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protection covers all holidays where flights are booked as part of the package; in the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded overseas and they will arrange a refund of monies paid in advance. Our ATOL number is 6685. ATOL protection extends primarily to customers who book and pay in the United Kingdom. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions...

Gavin Parons: African photographic tour
See Gavin Parsons' article on diving Mozambique and South African safari which appeared in Diver magazine November 2007 "All the connections worked perfectly ... As for the holiday itself, it was fantastic! I snorkelled with 3 Whale sharks, dived with Manta rays and saw my first sharks and an octopus ... So despite the mozzy bites and Afrikaans music I had a great time! In fact it was so good I plan to go back to do the Go-pro internship later in the year. Thanks for all your efforts!" - Dave Hooper, April 2007
"I'm back in the UK again and struggling to get used to the weather! I had a great time in Mozambique (again!), caught up with some old friends and met lots of new ones. The weather was great, the lodge was excellent as usual and the staff very friendly. I got my Dive master certification so now I can work in diving if I choose to!" - Dave Hooper, January 2008
